Artist Uses Shopping Bags as Canvases.
It begins from shopping bags collected by his wife, some of them were received from gifts and taken from trash bins. One Zhan, a reuse artist tried to recreate shopping bags as the canvases. Most of the liked theme to be painted are child with big eyes profile, leaves or tree shapes. This artist likes to be called 'scavenger artist'. He was start creating on used materials since he was at elementary school, about 40 years ago. He collected note books residual to be comics or playing cards (remaining stored in the shelf). His commitment for nature conservation is still high. In fact, with his opinion, an artist can have role to avoid environmental damages, no matter how small it is. Until now, he still working on it, painting on used stuffs, in his green-ish atelier at Jakarta, Indonesia.
Occasionally accompanied by birds, squirrels and butterflies.
